Pedro Capelossi makes a welcome return to Loot Recordings for his first proper single with us. The Barcelona-based Brazilian delivers three new originals, layered with hazy soundscapes and jazz driven melodies. “No One Left Behind” is a mesmerizing affair of twinkling piano riffs accompanied by waves of swelling synths and atmospheric, dreamy elements. The release includes two standout remixes from French house maestro Nhar and Argentina’s Nodo.
“Vivid Cream” is a deep groove with swaying synths and a trippy, chopped up vocals that give it a moody, psychedelic vibe for those weird late night moments. “Soul Breaker” increases the energy with its punchy bass line, organic chord stabs and crisp timeless house rhythms.
Nhar delivers a playful interpretation of “No One Left Behind” that introduces a vibrant melody and uplifting, charismatic sound. Incorporating the original piano and other elements, the cosmic disco feel is delightfully irresistible.
The Nodo remix of “Vivid Cream” is an elegant version that includes the original’s keys, fragmented vocals and synths. Intricate drum arrangements and percussive elements complement the late-night and delicate feeling. A real slow burner that’s the perfect sound to get lost in.
