Some dreams are meant to take you higher.
A familiar name on Loot Recordings, Viktop returns with “Mile High Dreams Of You”, finding strength in the space between tension and release. A rolling bassline sets things in motion, hypnotic arpeggios circle overhead and potent synth stabs cut through warm pads. Everything seems to be moving toward something, yet the anticipation is part of the pleasure.
Nhii takes a different route. The drums hit harder, the arrangement breathes and sharp hi-hats shimmer against dubby delays. Sounds move in and out of focus, creating something wonderfully trippy. Stripped back, tough and just a little strange in all the right ways.n
Ayala (IT) has other ideas. Frenetic, bleeping arpeggios twist around lush keys, locked into an intricate, relentless groove. Layers build, melodies collide and the whole thing takes on a life of its own. A captivating interplay of sounds, both meticulously arranged and beautifully unpredictable.
